The AAA Thread.

Just throwing this out there.

There are a couple of Wal-Mart ammo threads and other misc. threads floating around relating to ammo stocks.

In the spirit of Anecdotal reporting found on GIM... I present the

ANECDOTAL AMMUNITION AVAILABILITY Thread.

Post Deals, Steals, Who's got ammo and Who don't.

Just ordered THREE NINE from Centerfire. They are getting low.

Folks, when this Yugo is gone, IT'S GONE. I personally doubt any more will be allowed in the country. Even if it HAD all it's importation stuff in order before the 20th. I'd bet money one of the first EO's will be to ban all imported ammo and firearms. That's what Clinton did. Any takers?

I think 2-weeks behind on orders is the 'Norm' for online ordering these days.

SAMCO also has 7.62x39mm but not sure about their service, I've never ordered from them.

Re: The AAA Thread.

The local Wal-Mart here has plenty of ammo, including cases of the 100 round WWB 9x19 (after I left they were down a few cases) and a fair amount of .223. So much ammo was present that it was outside the locked cases. The thinnest stocks are for hunting ammo because we are in the midst of deer season.

Re: The AAA Thread.

This stuff is about 55 cents a round - probably closer to 60 cents after you figure shipping - which I think is good for .308 these days.

Never heard of this particular make of .308 but anyway - found some.

They've got .223 and 7.62x39 7.62x54R as well.
Personally I don't think I'll deal w/ SG again - but if you're hard up for ammo... I recon it's an option. gotta do whatcha gotta do.

If you're going to deal with Sportsman's Guide, call them first to make sure they have the ammo. I've ordered ammo from them before only to get a card in the mail a week or so later telling me the ammo was backordered and the price had gone up significantly. I won't deal with them again.

We live in a small town. Just found out through my CCW instructor why our local Walmart has been out of all pistol ammo for several weeks. Seems an FFL dealer in town is going in, buying it all up, then putting on his shelves at DOUBLE the price. CCW students can't find anything cheaper to qualify with, and are having to pay his price...and they aren't too happy.

Lots of folks have had that problem.... It's not just SG - sign of the times I suppose but they are notorious for that.

Now THAT is some kind of aggrivatin'!
But I guess he's having a hard time getting stock too - still shouldn't be marking it up like that though. - Again- just a sign of the times. Can't hardly trust anyone.

I concur. These folks are not good to deal with.

I have not bought from them in years, and I still get their catalogs. The last catalog had surplus Bulgarian (I believe) 7.62x54R advertised as berdan primed and non-corrosive. BS outfit.
